Prepare to feel the bass pressure when two local reggae soundsystems, Smilets Hi-Fi and Yellow Yard Sound, join forces with the mighty Rockers Ark Soundsystem outta Copenhagen for a night with love and meditation, heavy tunes and skanking in front of the stacks and behind the controls.

Expect dubby roots, cheeky dancehall and deep, meditative steppers tunes, all sure to provide energy to the dancing feet. All tribes welcome. 

The event is presented by Kulturforeningen BAS NED with support from PUKK.

💛 Rockers Ark Soundsystem 

Roots reggae and dubsound system based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Officially set sail in the summer of 2022 after being handcrafted at the local cultural hub Bolsjefabrikken. Also known as the Candyfactory.

The sounds roots traceback to Rockers Ark studio dub productions and session on the migthy candyfactory sound in 2017. The collective is highly dedicated to preserving soundsystem culture and promoting roots, dubwise steppas and Rastafari traditions through deep medition, roots music, frequencies. 

Speakers: A powerful 5-way system featuring diy build RS18 Scoops for heavy sub-bass, HD215kick bins for punchy mid-bass, and the legendary top class Martin Audio W8tops. 

Control & Amplification: operated via the Rockers Ark Costom Controll Tower highest quality preamp signal chain: fomula sound, custom build isolator/eq UK-build & customized Allen & Heath Xone 464 mixer processed by XTA dsp filter and driven by swedish high-power Lab.gruppen amps. 

Effects: custom-built dub echoes, reverbs, and custom build sirens to create their signature vibesand deep meditative atmosphere. 

The sound system ishighly active in the Scandinavian soundsystem community and organizes regular gatherings pushing exclusive dubplate vibes and brand new releases.

Martin Kanan is the mainoperator, funder and captain behind Rockers Ark Soundsystem and selector who spins: heavy roots & steppas dubplates.

He frequently provides massive soundsystem sessions, multi-hour selections at major events, such asorchestrating the 6-hour meditation set at the Rootikal Station stage during Copenhagen Distortion at Enghave Plads and the 12 hour soundsystem sunday (roots and culture Tradition ) at h15 scene first sunday every month

As a selector andsoundsystem operator he is heavily embedded in the Danish and Scandinavia nsound system community.

💛 Smilets Hi-Fi

What started ten years agoin a shared apartment as loose, late night talks and dreams about wanting a dedicated reggae soundsystem, has finally come to fruition through various old pieces of gear and speaker cabinets; Smilets Hi-Fi, named after the tagline for Aarhus, city of smiles, is a small but powerful system with two passionate selectors, Benny Bas and Moksha, whose love for soundsystem culture is sure tobe felt when they turn on their amps and blast heavy bass music through the air.

As a special treat this evening, Smilets Hi-Fi is going to be hooked up with Yellow Yard Sound toprovide even more power and punch.

💛 Yellow Yard Sound

Yellow Yard Sound is tiny but mighty built for bass by reusing old boxes and units.

Fex Denali is boots on the ground for Reggae Dancehall Dub Jungle or Bass style under the Reggae genre.

💛 Felix Mogens (Tribe84soundsystem)

Felix Mogens from Odense, representing Tribe 84 Soundsystem. Experienced selector, digging deepinto reggae, dub and steppers are serving it up straight from the vinyl.

💛 Supernova (Aarhus Volume)

DJ Supernova plays dub music with inspiration from the UK-dub scene.  

Supernova's roots lie within institut for (x) and Aarhus Volume, places shaped by a DIY spirit and community. 

Expect deep meditative steppers music, played on records.
