Local bass enjoyer, Bili Bootcut, curates a night built on deep pressure, rhythm mutations and genreless intensity - highlighting some of the key sound pushers shaping the danish bass music scene right now.
Deep selections, live hardware pressure, fast tunes and club energy.
We start with spacious rhythms and heavy grooves setting the tone, then shift into sharper patterns and heavier impact. Somewhere in the middle it all flips - the tempo kicks up, drums get restless, and things start bouncing between styles with no warning. By the time we hit the late hours, it’s full tilt: high-BPM pressure, warped basslines, and dancefloor chaos in all the right ways.
Papaskrald (he/him) is a DJ selector, based in Esbjerg. He has been playing music from an early age and is deeply into instrumental music. Collecting records came naturally through passion for music and his selection can go in any direction. Music with a message and deep vibrations is fundamental.
He is one of the co-founders of Kanten, Esbjerg's alternative venue and collective for underground dance and bass music.
ALVA ALVA (he/him) is a Danish-Nicaraguan producer and DJ based in Esbjerg, Denmark. He is a member of the Danish club initiative ‘Mana Club.’ ALVA ALVA will perform a modular live set that transcends musical genres, merging bass music and techno with Latin American rhythms and intense sound design, pushing the boundaries of what a modular live set can sound like.In 2022, he collaborated with Hedo Hydr8 on the Baile-inspired track ‘BBBBBB,’ which made its way into countless mixes from DJs around the world.
With his debut on Club Potions Vol. 1, his track "Imperial Burnout" premiered on Low Income $quad (HR) gathered attention from notable artists such as Miss Jay, Oblinof, and St.grimes.
CAYOOTEE (pronounced "Cutie") (she/her) is a Danish artist, DJ, and producer. She has been championing bass music in Copenhagen for the last five years and performed at Bas Under Buen in 2024. As a producer, her productions are fast-paced, fun, creative, and recognised by DJs worldwide. As a DJ she is known for her keen ear for original and danceable sounds, she effortlessly blends genres such as footwork, 160, jungle, breaks, garage, 2-step, and more, creating a cohesive vibe throughout her sets.
To end the night, Bili Bootcut (he/him) takes control — and he’s not here to ease you out. With roots in Aarhus’ gritty club scene and a love for bass in all its forms, Bili closes Bootcut’s Bass Aften with a high-intensity set built for peak-time pressure and body-shaking energy.
Drawing from dubstep, footwork, breaks and experimental bass, this is bass music at its most explosive — fast, heavy, and driven by super swingy rhythms, psychedelic twists, and low-end chaos. There will be dissonant echoes, distorted grooves and full-force momentum that never lets up.
He pulls you in step by step, then flips the switch. The room shakes. The crowd melts. This is bass culture with a wild grin and both feet in the sauce - till the very end.
Carried by a local sound system, Maskinen Soundsystem
Maskinen Soundssystem is a local homebuilt passion project with its first gig in 2022. Since, Maskinen has provided crisp sound for many electronic Music events in Aarhus. It is built by three Aarhus local sound enthusiasts, with the aim of spreading the love for soundsystems.
